useful firefox extensions, useful mozilla firefox extensions, etc...
Firefox extensions are one of the main reasons we love the Mozilla Firefox web browser! Extensions allow you to tailor Firefox to your specific needs, thus putting you in control of your web browsing -- something that's been long, long overdue if you ask us. To install other extensions that aren't listed below, just go to Tools / Extensions and at the bottom right of the screen click Get More Extensions. Enjoy...

  • Gmail Manager ...allows you to manage multiple Gmail accounts and receive new mail notifications. Gmail Manager displays your account details including unread messages, saved drafts, spam messages, labels with new mail, space used, and new mail snippets.
  •
  • FireFTP ...FireFTP is a free, secure, cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox which provides easy and intuitive access to FTP servers.
  •
  • Quicknote ...have you ever been surfing around the net and wanted to leave yourself a note? Well, now you can with Quicknote. After you install it, just go to Tools / View and drag and drop Quicknote into your Firefox browser. Quicknote will always be there waiting in your browser, ready to save a snippet of information for you. We use QuickNote all the time.
  •
  • ReminderFox ...if you want an awesome way to remember birthdays, aniversaries, appointments, to-do lists etc, ReminderFox is the only way to go. Once installed, you'll see a little knotted string on the bottom right of Firefox. Click it on and add all your info. If you have a reminder for the current day, the string turns red and the reminder appears in the status bar, as well as a nifty little popup box every time you open Firefox. If you tend to forget things, you're gonna love Reminderfox.
  •
  • Forecastfox ...so finally you can get the weather without having to load a bloated piece of software (couph, couph) that will bog down your machine. Forecastfox gets the weather and will display it in a toolbar or your statusbar. You can have a three day weather display, along with a radar screen (not really needed) and Forecastfox will also alert you if severe weather conditions are heading your way.
  •
  • Colorful Tabs ...we created several new folders that span the top of the Firefox web browser. Each folder contains bookmarks to our favorite most visited sites, right? Well, once we open a Folder, we like to utilize the "Open In Tabs" feature of Firefox because there's nothing better than having your favorite sites load in the background when you begin surfing. That's where Coloful Folders shine -as the sites start loading in Tabs, Colorful Tabs "colors" the tabs for you. Colorful tabs isn't just eyecandy if that's what you're thinking -it's handy candy :)
  •
  • FoxyTunes ...if listening to music as you surf is your thing, then you absolutely have to try FoxyTunes extension. With support for all the top media players, FoxyTunes allows you to have all your mush controls right at your fingertips -- awesome.
  •
  • PDF Download ...now you can choose to view a PDF file inside the browser (as PDF or HTML), or outside Firefox with your default or custom PDF reader.
  •
  • Feeling Lucky ...select some text and either hit 'Enter' or right-click and select 'Do a Google I'm Feeling Lucky Search ...the web page of the first Google search result for that text will open in a new tab.
  •
  • IE View Lite ...unfortunately some webpages just plain require Internet Explorer to display. If you load IE View Lite, the next time a page won't dispay in Firefox you'd merely right click, then click View In IE, and poof, there ya go :)
  •
  • Image Zoom ...once you load this extension you'll be able to right click on any image you see and zoom in much, much closer -- up to 400%. Zoom in, zoom out, get the image dimensions, etc. Who wouldn't love that?
  •
  • ColorZilla ...CollorZilla rocks, especially if you have a webpage. It's an eyedropper, color picker, and for those of us who have trouble seeing certain webpages that insist on using the teeny, tiny font ...a webpage zoomer! Once installed, you'll see a little eyedropper in the bottom left of your browser. Left click and the crosshair will show you the color information -- right click on the eyedropper and you'll access other useful functions as well as the webpage zoom command. Sweet.
  •
  • OpenBook ...if you download a lot, then try the must-have OpenBook extension -- it allows you to customize the Add Bookmark dialog.
  •
  • Statusbar Clock ...displays the date / time in the Firefox browsers status bar.
